Treatment for Depression

Depression is a treatable condition, and there are many effective interventions available to help individuals manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

Spravato™ is an FDA approved prescription medicine that comes in the form of a nasal spray and is proven to be highly effective for the treatment of depression. Spravato™ may only be administered by a qualified medical provider in a clinic setting.

TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is a non-invasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate specific areas of the brain. TMS is FDA approved for treatment of Major Depressive Disorder and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). In addition, it has successfully been used for treatment of other anxiety disorders and pain syndromes.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), and other forms of talk therapy can help individuals explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, develop coping skills, and make positive changes in their lives.

Medication: Antidepressant medications, such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) or serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs), may be prescribed to help regulate mood and alleviate symptoms of depression.

Healthy lifestyle habits, including regular exercise, balanced nutrition, adequate sleep, stress management techniques, and social support, can play a significant role in managing depression.
